Jose Rangel is Of Counsel at Cantilo & Bennett, L.L.P. ("C&B"). Mr. Rangel was born in Laredo, Texas, and resides in Austin, Texas. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Houston in 1975, and subsequently received his J. D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1978.
Mr. Rangel was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in November, 1978. He is admitted to practice before all Texas Courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Rangel is also a member of the Texas Bar Foundation.
Mr. Rangel has extensive litigation experience in general civil litigation, oil and gas litigation, land and real estate litigation, business litigation, federal and state constitutional law, civil rights law, and employment law litigation, state and federal regulatory matters, and the insolvency, receivership, rehabilitation and liquidation of insurers.
